Maple Tower
Chicago’s Gold Coast, bordering the city’s Magnificent Mile, is the home of Maple Tower, a new luxury condo located at 1035 N. Dearborn. With only one or two units per floor, Maple Tower features 27 spacious, 2,000- to 4,000-square-foot residences on 21 stories. Though contemporary and modern on the outside, inside, Maple Tower is designed to inspire a warm, traditional ambience, starting with a lobby finished in natural stone and hewn wood, and featuring an indoor/outdoor garden. In addition, the tower’s location places it in one of the most desirable and upscale areas of Chicago, steps away from the designer boutiques, fine dining, and cultural centers on North Michigan Avenue, and only minutes from the financial and business district in the city’s Loop.
Maple Tower residences range from three- to four-bedrooms with three to 4.5 baths, and floor plans also include a roomy den or guest bedroom, as well as separate family, living, and dining rooms. Every unit includes a south-facing balcony, with the penthouses offering striking city views in all directions. The penthouses have 10.5-foot ceilings, and all single-floor residences feature secure elevator access, opening onto impressive foyers with natural stone flooring. Crown molding, detailed baseboards, hardwood floors, gas fireplaces with marble surrounds and hearths, and custom-built book cases bring an intimate and cozy feel to these homes. Kitchens offer granite counter tops, custom wood cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. Bathrooms in the master suite are finished in marble and feature a whirlpool soaking tub and separate, glass-enclosed shower. Closets are numerous and spacious. To accommodate today’s urban executives, the main rooms of every residence are pre-wired for high-speed Internet, cable and satellite TV. All units are sound-insulated, and heating and cooling are individually-controlled. The building itself provides a 24-hour doorman, indoor heated parking, private storage areas, and a state-of-the-art fitness center for all residents.
Though brand new, Maple Tower already has a storied history. Developer RDL Development originally scheduled the building’s grand opening for September 13, 2001. The tragedy of September 11 intervened, and the project was postponed. With the nation’s recovery, Maple Tower has become a reality, with occupation slated for early 2006.
