View 14
With a view to the future, it’s View 14. With an anticipated delivery date of 2009, View 14 will offer 170 new residential condominium units. Scheduled to be built where the present Petrovitch auto repair shop is now located, 14th St., NW between Florida Ave. and Belmont St. it is being predicted that View 14 will serve as a true gateway between the 14th St. and U St. corridor and Columbia Heights.
Level 2 Development, located on U St. in Washington, DC and Centrum Properties of Chicago, IL have taken on this project as a joint venture and have chosen as their designer SK&I Architecture of Bethesda, MD. David Franco, a principal with Level 2 Development, expressed the extreme satisfaction and pleasure which the two companies are taking in the work already achieved in the projections given them by SK & I Architecture. “(They) have struck the perfect balance in creating a sleek and contemporary design which fits into the neighborhood.” he stated. “The views will be simply spectacular.” View 14 will feature such things as floor to ceiling windows, angled bays and terraces, to enable the residents to fully enjoy the spectacular views of Washington, DC.
The developers have expressed that it is their intent to see to it that the entire community as a whole will benefit from this new venture. “Among our core principles is responsible development in our community,” said David Franco. Level 2 has already committed itself to contributing to the support of local organizations such as the local Boys and Girl’s club sponsored by the Metropolitain Police Dept. It is good to see that the developers of View 14 don’t want this project to just be a neighbor, they want it to be a good neighbor as well.
